Our very high voltage pulse Marx generator, which can create discharges in the air up to 1.6 MV, has benefited from the addition of automatic auxiliary functions, as well as the addition of highly accurate automatic charging and triggering modes.
The aim is to make this tool, which is essential for research, development, and certification work, even more reproducible for NF C 17-102 testing of our lightning rod prototypes. This modernization also brings greater operational efficiency by simultaneously and automatically multiplying the actions of a single operator, who can focus on the quality of the tests carried out in complete autonomy. We are very proud of these improvements, which were developed in-house and tailored to our specific needs.
It is the result of a long period of reflection and decades of experience in the testing laboratory.
Over the coming months, we will continue our efforts to modernize the LiRi LAB by focusing on other parts of our laboratory. This will enable us to open the door internally to other types of very high voltage tests (NF EN 62561-1, NF EN 62561-6, IEC/TS 62561-8) that are part of the normative certification process for lightning protection components.
